Dr. Gert VAN BRUSSEL is affiliated with the Open University of the Netherlands. He has more than 40 years of experience in the domain of career development in all kinds of roles: counsellor, consultant, entrepreneur, researcher, lecturer and presenter. He has authored professional and scientific articles and book chapters in the field of career development and entrepreneurship and is a member of the advisory board of Loopbaan Visie (Career Vision), the Dutch journal for career professionals. Gert has been a member of the Board of the IAEVG since 2015 and a past president and Honorable Member of NOLOC, the Dutch association of career professionals. TREASURER Ilze Astrīda JANSONE, MS Ed., Qualification in Career Counselling, works at the State Education Development Agency of Latvia as the Euroguidance programme manager. Her work focuses on educational guidance with emphasis on learning mobility, guidance systems and policies, international peer learning, promotion of research, translation of guidelines, methods and tools.
Dr. Jane GOODMAN is Professor Emerita of Counseling at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, USA. She is a past president of the American Counseling Association, the National Career Development Association, and The Counselors for Social Justice. She is the author of several books and many articles and book chapters, primarily in the area of transitions, supervision, and the career development of adults. She received the Eminent Career Award from NCDA and is a fellow of ACA and NCDA. |
Laurent MATTE has been engaged for over 30 years in the field of career development, with clients and colleagues as well as in the media and political arenas. He has been a career counselor, trainer, coach, project manager, union leader, volunteer, lecturer, service expert, institutional leader. Trained in Canada at Laval University (B.Ed. and L.Or.) and University of Sherbrooke (M.Ed.), he worked for public employment services and was President (2007-2016) of the regulatory college of guidance counsellors in Quebec, Canada.
VICE PRESIDENT Guðbjörg VILHJÁLMSDÓTTIR, Ph.D. is a full professor in career guidance and counselling at the School of Social Sciences, University of Iceland and current Head of career guidance and counselling department. Her research projects have evolved around career development of young people, what are the main social and psychological influences on careers and how they can be assisted in finding meaning in their careers. An ongoing research interest has been the evaluation of career education and counselling, both in Iceland and in the Nordic countries.
VICE PRESIDENT Teruyuki FUJITA is a professor at the Faculty of Human Sciences, University of Tsukuba, Japan. He specializes in comparative policy studies on career education. He has worked for some universities in Japan since 1993, except for the five years after he was appointed as a principal researcher at the National Institute for Educational Policy Research of Japan in 2008. He concurrently served as the senior specialist for student guidance at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. |
